Well, let's see, you can actively use a keyboard and a mouse. I suppose you could say you use a monitor and speakers as well, since you look and listen to them. If you're going to use a mic, replace speakers with headphones. Everything else in the computer is sort of being used, too, but you are only using those other things indirectly, not sure if that counts. Perhaps if we had a frickin' clue why you're asking, we could be more specific...

I use a thing called a "processor", the guy at the store said it'd make games run. Dunno if that's what you're talking about though.

I am assuming you are asking for voice communication software.

If you join a guild, that has a server - lots of fun. You can talk to your team mates while you play, cordinate attacks etc.

1. Teamspeak - www.teamspeak.org , download the client and hope that you find somebody with teamspeak on their computers. FREE

2. Ventrillo, same as teamspeak...forgot the link...Check forums for guilds that offer Ventrillo server memberships - through paypal. SOmetimes FREE

3. Skype. Full duplex software www.skype.com Only good for 3 players. But quality is outstanding. FREE

That was my two cents...to your encrypted question.

From BestBuy.com, concerning the Guild Wars Deluxe Bundle on sale...

1) Includes a Logitech Headset (a $29.99 value) and Roger Willco software designed to support online conversations with your friends while playing online multiplayer roleplaying games.

Does this answer your question?

Heh, thanks. Yeah, that was my favorite game for a long time. At least until I got "Tunnels of Doom" for my TI-99/4A.

We've sure come a long way since then...

Is it normal that I had to re-read this three times to grasp the meaning?

its not abnormal but after youve been on the internet long enough youll acquire a knack for reading messages written by barely literate people who have no idea how to capitalize punctuate or avoid making run on sentences or you can also acquire this skill by reading a lot of stuff written by first graders so there you go.

I do not think game pads would work very well with this game. So I'd say no to the gamepads. There is no supported voice chat program although you do get access to 3 months of teamspeak if you buy the deluxe version. Many guilds run their own teampseak or ventrillo servers. I know mine does and it makes a huge difference.

I wasn't flaming you. Just please take time to write out your messages clearly and concisely and keep in mind that we're normally not going to know what you're talking about unless you tell us. If your question isn't worth the time for you to write out in good enough detail, it's not going to be worth most people's time to answer.

Would purchasing a voice chat system and getting the software and everything be worth it in? I'm not entirely sure I'd want to buy something like that only for Guild Wars, though it would be kind of cool to have a headset like that to use to free up your hands...

A headset is indeed quite worth it for GuildWars. It provides fun talking to your guildmates during downtimes or during PvE, but the real benefit is PvP. Being able to cordinate a team of 8 people over Teamspeak is very handy compared to typing it out. I type quite fast but I'll take voice chat over it anyday.

Of course I wouldn't buy the deluxe version of GuildWars for that. You can buy a headset (5-20$ at your local electronics store) and set up a free Teamspeak server as long as one of your guildmembers hosts it for you. I assume the one included in GuildWars is hosted by a private server but if one of your buddies has a fast connection, go for it.

You should be a salesman, because I'm somewhat inclined to do that now Too bad I just paid $500 to my parents to finish paying off my car. I'll take a look around Best Buy the next time I'm there.

I'd go way beyond handy to nearly indispensible. When you can just say what you want instead of having to type it out, you can give orders, alert someone, and just communicate much much faster.
